TEDxViera is being created as a gathering place for ideas that begin in our community and carry relevance far beyond it. It will bring together original thinkers, curious minds and engaged citizens to explore how a change in perspective can reshape what we understand and influence what we do next.
Viera is more than the location of this event. For TEDxViera, it becomes an invitation to see—to look again at what feels familiar, notice what may have been overlooked and consider the future from a new vantage point.
Why Viera?
Viera sits within one of Florida’s most dynamic regions—a place shaped by growth, innovation, natural beauty, human ambition and an enduring curiosity about what lies beyond the visible horizon.
The wider Space Coast is known for looking outward, but TEDxViera will also invite us to look more closely: at the people around us, the systems that shape everyday life, the challenges we have learned to accept and the possibilities we may not yet recognize.
This is where local experience can meet global thinking. Where science can meet storytelling. Where technology can meet humanity. Where established assumptions can encounter entirely new perspectives.
TEDxViera will create space for those intersections.
More than a stage
TEDxViera will be a carefully curated experience built around ideas rather than personalities, positions or promotion. Every talk and program element will be selected for its ability to illuminate, challenge, connect or reveal.
The inaugural event will welcome an engaged audience and preserve an atmosphere in which ideas can be experienced deeply and conversations can continue beyond the stage.
The program will include original talks, shared moments of reflection and a reception with entertainment designed to encourage authentic connection across disciplines, generations and perspectives.

Vantage Point explores the relationship between where we stand, what we see and what we choose to do next.

The person behind the vision
Meet the Organizer
Dr. Valrie Grant
TEDxViera Lead Organizer & License Holder
Dr. Valrie Grant is an award-winning entrepreneur, geospatial and innovation leader, author and community builder whose work has consistently centered on the power of ideas, technology and collaboration to create meaningful change.
She brings extensive experience convening people across disciplines, cultures and sectors around complex questions and shared possibilities. Throughout her career, she has seen how a new perspective, the right conversation or an unexpected connection can change the direction of a community, an organization or an individual life.
As the TEDxViera Lead Organizer and License Holder, Dr. Grant is leading the development of an independent, community-centered platform where original ideas can be examined thoughtfully and shared with audiences in Viera and beyond.
Her vision for TEDxViera is not simply to produce an event. It is to create an experience that encourages people to see differently, listen more deeply and leave with a wider understanding of what may be possible.
